Snagged from the Bishometer,
– Post a list of 10 books/movies/TV shows that you’ve had a fannish love of at some time in your life.
– Have your friends guess your favorite character from each one.
– You can cross out the show/movie/book and put the character when someone guesses.
1) Ren & Stimpy Muddy Mudskipper [Yeah B-Dogg!]
2) Corner Gas Oscar [Score 2 for B-Dogg ... jackass! :P ]
3) The IT Crowd
4) Star Trek: The Original Series It’s a tie between Spock and McCoy [1/2 point each for Darque B and the Phantom Phlapjack]
5) Mystery Science Theatre 3000 Crow [1 point for Phantom Phlapjack]
6) Mr. Show with Bob & David
7) X-Files
8) NCIS
9) CSI Grissom [1 point for Darque B]
10) Alias
I’ve tried to keep these more recent (or famous) so it would be easier to guess.
Mind you, these are all random guesses… :) Some of these shows I’ve never even seen!
1) Ren & Stimpy–Muddy Mudskipper
2) Corner Gas–Oscar
3) The IT Crowd–um, what is this?
4) Star Trek: The Original Series–Scotty
5) Mystery Science Theatre 3000–The robot
6) Mr. Show with Bob & David–I don’t remember anything about this except the “Cock Ring Warehouse” sketch.
7) X-Files–The Cigarette Smoking Man
8) NCIS–Timothy McGee
9) CSI–Nick
10) Alias–Jack Bristow
B-Dogg has seen Corner Gas???? Awesome! That’s our favorite show!
Is it legal for me to guess?
You can check out info on the IT Crowd here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_IT_Crowd
And yes, you can guess.
Give B-Dogg two points!
I can only speak for myself and hope we intersect…
1) Ren & Stimpy–Ren, us type A’s must stick together
4) Star Trek: The Original Series-No contest, Mr. Spock
5) Mystery Science Theatre 3000–My main man Crow…
7) X-Files–For god’s sake Scully! Bless the eternal skeptic!
And from the current shows I am into…
Sesame Street - Bert
Thomas the Tank Engine - Trevor the Traction Engine
Winnie the Pooh - Eeyore
Hey, I’m surprised you didn’t put Moonlighting on here….
Unfortunately, I have not seen “Corner Gas.” I just pulled a name from random off IMDB. I’m gonna have to give it a shot, though. Is it on Limewire?
I’m going to take a couple of wild guesses.
4) Star Trek: either McCoy or Khan.
9) Grissom?
I’m with Craig on Sesame Street - Bert… he’s the one with the paperclip collection, right?
Grover was always well liked too, but mostly because he had slapped Kermit on the back a lot.
As for not putting Moonlighting on here– would you believe I did not put it on because people like Garrett and Billy have never even seen it? They weren’t even in Kindergarten when the show came out. Ahhh!!
Corner Gas is the greatest Canadian show I think I have ever seen– When the episodes are very tightly written, it feels almost Seinfeldian, but takes place in the more pastoral (and therefore more humorous) atmosphere of Saskatchewan. I recommend it to anyone who can rent the DVDs or grab the newer ones via BitTorrent. Not sure if it is on YouTube or Limewire. My favorite episode is still the ‘Book Club’ episode. Jinny read “Life of Pi” because of this. I still need to read my copy of “The Saint in New York.” ha, ha.
The IT Crowd is a great show too. Kudos to Billy for convincing me (kicking and screaming) to watch it.
My guesses:
IT Crowd - Moss
Mr. Show - Jill
X files - the gunmen
NCIS - Lauren Holly {JK ;)} Mark Harmon
Alias - Will or Sidney’s sister
